The building in which the hotel is located, was erected in the 1920s, in the early days of Tel Aviv, treasures and embodies the stories of young Tel Aviv, when the white city of was full of enthusiasm and passion for New World architecture and modern movement coming from Europe. The building is characterized by architecture created by the architect Dov (Boris) Tshudnovsky, was built in 1925 and initially served as a private residence for six families who lived side by side during a period full of events. It has been restored and turned into a boutique hotel by design team Shaltiel- Kastiel, along with mosaic and glass artist Lauri Recanati.
Ari Shaltiel contemperory architect, so much his talent is praised in Israel and abroad, preserved the old mosaics and the 19th-century features. He even decided to keep intact each wall of this former eclectic mansion, built-in 1925 by Dov Tchendovski. In an attempt to give a contemporary touch to the foundation, he added pieces of metal between the original glass on the walls. He believes that “walls have ears” and if you listen carefully, you might hear them telling stories.
The eclectic architecture, their bohemian personality, the fascinating history and the different styles of the city's residents dictated the restoration and design line of the next hotel to reflect the different ways of expression through the unique design of all the rooms, suites and elegant lounge complex.
The beauty of the building has been revived, adorned with colors by a rich and exotic interpretation, based on European traditions with a contemporary and sophisticated twist while preserving the rich past heritage in the wonderful hands of architect Ari Shaltiel and artist Lori Recanati. The special building creates a magical atmosphere and becomes the perfect setting for our endless journey, whose purpose is simple - to create exciting, authentic and unforgettable memories and experiences for hotel guests.
