EchoTune operates on a local-first basis. We do not store your personal data, music library, or listening history on external servers.
Local Data: All app preferences and cached data live strictly on your device.
Server Data: Since we do not create user accounts on our servers, there is no server-side data to delete.
To remove all data associated with EchoTune, you simply need to remove the app and its permissions from your device.
Step 1: Delete Local Data
Uninstalling the EchoTune app from your device will immediately delete all locally stored data, including favorites, cached recommendations, and settings.
Step 2: Revoke Apple Music Access
Uninstalling the app does not automatically revoke the permission you granted to access your Apple Music library. To ensure EchoTune can no longer access your account:
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security.
Tap Media & Apple Music.
Find EchoTune in the list and toggle the switch OFF.
Since we do not store user data on our servers, we cannot perform a "server-side deletion." However, if you require formal assistance or confirmation for regulatory purposes:
Email: echotuneapp@gmail.com
Please include:
Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
Device type: (e.g., iPhone 15, iPad Pro)
Confirmation: A statement that you have uninstalled the app.
We aim to respond within 7 business days to confirm that no server-side data exists for your user profile.
Because EchoTune acts as a bridge between you and third-party services, we cannot delete data held by those platforms:
Apple Music: Your library, listening history, and recommendations are managed by Apple.
YouTube: Your watch history is managed by Google/YouTube.
