NEW UK HOSTED
Because RedM is a large mod overlaid atop RDR2, some things might not render 100% of the time. This is often the result of high ping (amongst other things) and not something we have control over, unfortunately. High ping is considered 150ms or more.
High ping rates can result from various factors, including inadequate internet connectivity and outdated hardware or software components.
Potential causes may include an outdated graphics card or drivers, as well as pending Windows updates.
Additional contributors to high pings can be a full or malfunctioning C-drive, corrupted game cache for RedM, and damaged game files or applications such as Steam and RedM.Β
Verify your ping by accessing the F8 menu
A ping value approaching zero indicates optimal performance.
A ping below 20ms is classified as low, representing exceptional connectivity.
A ping ranging from 50ms to 100ms is considered average, reflecting very good performance.
A ping of 150ms or higher is categorized as high, indicating poor connectivity.Β
High ping can lead to various issues such as;
Β Absence of visible players in the environment.
Β Horses and drivers are absent from their respective wagons.
Large clusters of boats are present on the waterways.
Presence of holes in the terrain.
Buildings are noticeably missing from the landscape.
Wildlife is found in unusual settings, such as on or within buildings.
[G] commands are malfunctioning for horses and housing.
Issues with crashing, freezing, and lagging are prevalent.Β
There are several significant, though not exclusive, factors contributing to the occurrence of anomalies.Β
