We are excited to announce that the Ex Libris Bluegrass User Group (eBUG) annual meeting will return to the in-person format this year! The meeting will be at the University of Tennessee Conference Center in Knoxville, TN on Friday, June 16, 2023 and a pre-conference meeting will be held on Thursday, June 15. The theme of this year's meeting is Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Suzie Allard, Chancellor's Professor and Associate Dean for Research

"AI: Promises & Perils for the Information Ecosystems"
Suzie Allard is a University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Professor (School of Information Sciences), and Associate Dean for Research (College of Communication and Information). Allard’s research focuses on knowledge creation, transfer and disruption, particularly in STEM domains. Allard’s work has received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. National Science Foundation, the U.S. Geological Survey, the Institute of Museum and Libraries Services, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, IEEE and others. Allard’s research is published in peer-reviewed journals and books, and she has spoken at venues around the world. She is director of CCI’s Research & Innovation Center which supports faculty throughout the research lifecycle. Allard holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics (California State University, Northridge), and a library science Masters of Science and communication Ph.D. (University of Kentucky). Before joining academe, Allard was vice president of Research Frontiers Corporation which provided creative consultation services to the entertainment industry.
