India is a highly diverse nation consisting of 28 states and 8 union territories with a population of 1.35 billion following different religions, speaking different languages and living their lives differently. Due to this, people living in one part of the country rarely get to experience the culture of another city or state. Even though it might not seem very important to experience a new culture, but it certainly ensure that one feels more connected to their country and the unity increases multiple folds.
Ek Bharat Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Abhiyan is an initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to promote unity in the country by the means of cultural exchanges. A list circulated by AICTE made pairs of colleges from different states of India and an exchange program between a set number of students from each college was to take place. This exchange ensures that by end of the program, students understand and relate to the culture of the state their partner college is located in and as a result feel much closer to the places which are actually far off.
