guidance, Love, and support

Our guidance team and social worker are here to support all of your social/emotional needs. Our doors are always open. If you need advice, someone to talk with, or relax, stop by the office. At EBC, you are loved unconditionally.

Jackie Indrisano, a ninth grade guidance counselor at East Boston High, fields anything from signing work permits to talking students through personal problems.

The counselors and social worker here at EBC does similar work and much more.

Mrs. Loren Adeyinka

Greetings friends and family of EBC! I am Mrs. Adeyinka and I am proud to be the school counselor for the 9th and 10th grade. I am also a former special education teacher, wife, mother, and self-taught visual artist.

I believe strongly in being intentional with our thoughts and actions to accomplish our goals and dreams. My hope is to support our students in becoming well-rounded adults that are filled with self-love and confidence.

ms. Beth Marin

Hi everyone!

My name is Beth Marin, and I am one of your school counselors. First, I want to thank all of you for welcoming me to EBC High School with such warmth and open arms. As a Bushwick native, I take great pride in working within my very own community. As a Latina, I know the challenges we face, but I also know the great success that comes from working hard and smart, staying focused, being consistent, and doing what you love in life. I am down to earth and super friendly, so come by the office and say hi. I love reading, arts and crafts, and going out to eat with friends and family.

Mrs. Elaine Acevedo

Hello EBC family! My name is Mrs. Elaine Acevedo and I am the 11th & 12th grade School Counselor this school year. I have been an educator for the past twenty-one years. I began my educational career as a paraprofessional working with students with learning & physical disabilities, shortly after I became a Spanish teacher and taught for eight years. This is my 12th year as a School Counselor. I love working as a School Counselor because it allows me to assist students and direct them in the right direction, whether it is academically, with social/emotional concerns, or with post-secondary plans after high school.

I was born in the Dominican Republic and have spent most of my life in the United States. I am a wife and the mother of two beautiful girls. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. Despite the unique circumstances of this school year, I am enthusiastic about working with all students and collaborating with our school staff and families to help our students achieve their full potential.

Ms. Antoinette Brunache

Hello Everyone! My name is Ms. Antoinette Brunache and I am the Social Worker here at EBC High School. I have been a Social Worker for almost 20 years. Some of my past experience includes working with youth involved with the juvenile justice system, foster care and youth in psychiatric hospitals. Helping others has always been a passion of mines and I found my niche in Social Work. I spend my days working with the students of EBC and my evenings providing individual therapy to Women and Children in the community. My goal is to create a safe space for healing and addressing obstacles that may be impeding a student’s progress and success.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn (Shout out to Flatbush!) and come from a large family. I am a mother to a beautiful daughter and an aunt to 14 nieces and nephews. In my spare time I love listening to music, spending time with my family and friends and traveling as often as possible.
