過去式常用的時間副詞：yesterday(昨天)、

英文動詞過去式一般而言，為動詞後加上-ed，但會依據動詞字尾不同而需稍作改變。
1.一般動詞，動詞原形加-ed。例如open→opened、call→called
2.動詞字尾為e，動詞原形加-d。例如like→liked、hate→hated
3.動詞字尾為子音加y，動詞原形去y加-ied。例如cry→cried、study→studied
4.動詞字尾為短母音加子音，動詞原形重複字尾加-ed。例如stop→stopped、plan→planned
