The Check

As a building, every item or model needs to meet some requirements of customers so we list down those requirements before building the model that list is called the checklist of our innovation some throughout the innovation we will be focusing on meeting the requirements of our checklist

For our project which is low-cost sustainable homes for the salt pan workers so we need to meet some requirements of workers so we listed down the checklist for our project

• Normally around 6-8 peoples stay in the homes where salt pan workers work including their children's so our shelter area should accommodate 6-8 people in its area for sleeping for some odd days when it’s raining outside

• As we know the salt pan workers houses are nearby the pan so the environment around is very salty in nature so the material whichever that we are using need to be Corrosion resistant

• In those areas, it’s very sunny so the material with which homes are made need to be reflective enough (should not absorb hot sunlights) so that there is no increase in temperature inside the house due to hot sun

• The shape of the house whichever we are building need to be aerodynamically feasible in nature because its very Windy near that run of kutch area so the homes should not fly away due to speedy winds

• And the salt pan workers only stay for little time near the salt pans in the season of harvesting so their houses need to be easily detachable as well as assemblable for that the material used for construction need to be Lightweight in nature

• The house needs to be Water-resistant to protect them from rains

• The house should have proper Ventilation inside so there is proper airflow within

• And as these workers are poor to afford the present tents so our model needs to be Low cost

• And outside there should be a proper place for Animal shelter

• Inside the homes, there have to be proper Shelves for keeping the things

• There has to be the proper mechanism of smoke flow outside while cooking (chimney system)

• And houses should have proper Flooring so no rodents enter the house from the mud below

• Should have a proper system for Cooling

• Due to the very high sunny day, there are possibilities of catching fire so the material used need to be high ignition value one

• House should have a proper place for kitchen inside

• And bathrooms should have a proper drainage system
