Since 2006, the Delta Chi Fraternity and the V Foundation for Cancer Research have worked together to fight cancer. Recognizing the prevalence of cancer among its own communities and the urgent need for research and cures, Delta Chi has raised more than $1.8 million for the V Foundation to date.
The V Foundation was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State University men’s basketball coach and ESPN commentator. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $260 million in cancer research grants nationwide. Valvano’s “Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!”® spirit is alive now more than ever. With continued support, the V Foundation will forge ahead while funding the country’s most innovative cancer research.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of NEPA
The Brothers of the Delta Chi Fraternity have taken the initiative to help support and grow our local youth and community within East Stroudsburg. Our mission is to not only donate money to help support the programs but also lend advice on academic achievement and academic integrity. By donating to this cause you help us all achieve our goal of creating equal opportunity for struggling youth.

Shave-A-Delta is an annual Jimmy V event where we pick a handful of Brothers to shave their hair if our set goal is reached. This past Fall '21 semester we ended up reaching our goal.
Miss Greek is an annual Fall Philanthropy event. It's a beauty Pageant for the sororities on campus and each sorority picks a representative.
Miss Greek was a success!! Congratulations Emmy Duggan for winning Miss Greek this year and Tri Sigma for winning ~$400 to donate towards their philanthropy March of Dimes! We also appreciate the girls who represented their organizations along with everyone who came out and donated to our philanthropy The Jimmy V Foundation. We raised over $1,500 throughout this whole week for Miss Greek!!
For this fundraiser, we set donation buckets up at Jimmy's Ice cream, Brewskies in Stroudsburg, and Cluck U. We ended up raising $165 after a month of the Buckets being out.
