What is the Block Champion Program? The Block Champion Program is designed to leverage community connectivity to join those who need help with those who are passionate about helping. Being prepared for events like weather emergencies can mean the difference between facing them with confidence rather than fear. Preparation involves more than individually gathering odd supplies, it means staying connected to those around us.
What do Block Champions Do? In the event of an emergency, the Block Champion serve as principle go-between for those who need various types of assistance as well as liaising with emergency personnel and city-wide partners. In non-emergency cases, the champion can assist with finding aid for minor support, such as shoveling sidewalks, house sitting, etc.
