TRAVEL GRANT MyCEB FOR EASTS 2023 CONFERENCE PAPERS PRESENTERS

Eligibility

(1) Applicants must submit a paper to the “Reviewed Paper” track at the EASTS conference 2023. Note that the “Non-reviewed Paper” presenters are NOT included as candidates for financial support.

(2) The applicant is compulsory to fill up the travel grant application form at the link below.

(3) The applicant can be either a regular member or a student member of EASTS in the following countries at the time of application submission, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

(4) Age 35 and below.

(5) Do not receive EASTS financial support or any financial support from other organizations/institutions.

Selection criteria

EASTS 2023 secretariat will select a number of eligible international presenters and local presenters as EASTS 2023 Travel grant recipients. If multiple applicants have the same evaluation score, priority will be given to the younger applicants and/or those who require less (discounted) travel expenses from the same departure area.

How to apply

1. Fill up the Web Application Form and upload the required documents. The application will be opened from 2nd August 2023, Wednesday until 15th August 2023, Tuesday, by 5.00 pm (Malaysian Time)  25th August 2023, Friday, by 5.00 pm (MYT).

2. An acknowledgment email will be sent to the applicants after we receive your application. Your application may not be completed if you do not receive an acknowledgment email from the secretariat (easts2023@gmail.com). As a precaution, please check your spam folder. Coverage:

The grant covers travel expenses, Airfare (return economy airfare), and accommodation – the maximum grant is RM1300 for the local presenter and RM2000 for the international presenter. The successful presenters must upload proof of payment for the airfare, estimation distance using a private vehicle from your home to MBSA Convention Centre (return trip), public transport (Bus/Rail), and accommodation in the web application online form.

The travel grant claim will be paid at the conference site (EASTS secretariat room: to be announced.)
