Because the custodians are the CORE of our school, we honored them on Custodian Apprecation Day yesterday with an apple bar full of delicious toppings.
We sincerely thank them for keeping our school clean, safe, and welcoming for our children every single day. We see how hard they work behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they do for our school community!

Tonight, the PTO presented the volunteer service awards to two well-deserving recipients!
Hannah Mazzaferro has worked tirelessly to make the elementary yearbook something special! Every year, she spends countless hours compiling the pictures and putting together captured memories to be cherished for a lifetime. We thank her for her time and effort!
In the community at large, the award goes to GG's pizza - East Rochester for all they have done for the PTO! They help us run a pizza fundraiser that yields enough pizza for our events throughout the year. They collected donations for our sunshine cart by giving customers a discount when they brought in snacks. They also just straight up donated snacks themselves. They have been an invaluable resource and community partner!
Thanks to students Marcus Lane and Saniel Figueroa for helping create the plaques and to Stacy K Floral for donating the stunning bouquets!

We give a huge shout out to Old Pueblo Grill for donating the chips that make the nacho bar especially amazing!
A HUGE shoutout to Dana Cieslinski for putting all the time into prepping this amazing lunch for our rockstar teachers and staff!

Santa’s Workshop was a huge success this year, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it such a magical experience for our students. From cookie decorating and creative coloring stations to kinetic sand, games, photos with Santa, and our concession stand, each station brought joy, laughter, and plenty of holiday cheer. Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces as they moved from station to station truly captured the spirit of the season.
This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, staff, and families who donated their time, energy, and creativity. Your willingness to jump in, lend a hand, and spread holiday cheer helped create special memories our students will carry with them long after the season ends. Thank you for helping make Santa’s Workshop such a wonderful success!
A specail thank you to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts that were Santa's Little Helpers this year!

Forgot your snack? We got your back! Just ask for the Sunshine Snack Cart!
The ERPTO will be sponsoring a snack cart in the Elementary School office for students who may need snack.
How does it work?
- Teachers will have access to the cart and will be encouraged to take snacks back to their classroom for students.
- ERPTO will continually restock as needed. This will benefit students, who will get what they need to have a full and productive day at school, and teachers, who won't need to fund this in their classrooms.
Want to help stock the cart??
Donations can be dropped off in the Elementary School Office or directly to a PTO Board member. Please make sure donations are clearly labeled "PTO Donations", so we don't miss them.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Lindsay Kathryn and Katie Welker for their generous donations to get us started!
Thank you to everyone who supported the PTO by volunteering, buying books, and spreading the word on the book fair! Thank you to the staff for buying books, bringing your classes down, and letting us take over your library! We appreciate all of it immensely!
In honor of custodian appreciation, the PTO recognized the vital role custodians play in maintaining sanitary and safe environments for our kids and staff with a movie box of popcorn and candy.
A huge THANK YOU to our ERUSFD custodian team for everything you do to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming! Your hard work often goes unseen, but it is always deeply appreciated!
At the School Supply Drop-Off and Meet & Greet, Maggie Hanchett had the wonderful idea of treating our teachers and staff to a fun “Dirty Soda Bar”! Thanks to the generosity of Kris Weltman from Luigi’s Coffee, we also had plenty of fresh coffee on hand. With the help of our PTO Board, we were able to give our teachers a cheerful boost as they geared up for the new school year.
One teacher left a note saying "I want to thank you for the Welcome Back Coffee and Soda Bar! It was a complete surprise and ABSOLUTELY wonderful! I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity. It definitely made my day (as I needed a little sugar since I couldn't take my daily summer nap!) Thank you for this wonderful PTO Pop Up! It was adorable and well stocked!!! "
Thank you again to Kris Weltman and Kelly Swagler for letting the ERPTO have a free booth at the East Rochester's Farmers Market this year! With the help of the ERPTO board, we were able to raise $500 with our Lemonade and Popcorn stall. Looking forward to the Farmer's Market next year!
A huge thank you to Alexis for putting in most of the leg work for this amazing Fundraiser.
This year, with help from Marisa Capuano and Jared Snyder, we were able to move into an empty space in the school. Not only are we excited to have everything in the same storage area, but the janitors at school are happy to not have to hunt down our items again!
