Alexis loves spending time with her family doing anything outside, going on adventures to the Finger Lakes, and sharing a good meal together. She is looking forward to making this a fantastic year filled with fun and gratitude, as she continues to serve this amazing community and the families that make this special place home.
Maggie Hanchett
Maggie has called East Rochester home for the past nine years and is excited to serve her first year on the PTO as Vice President. She and her husband of 11 years are proud parents to three wonderful children: Emma, a senior; Brooklyn, a 4th grader; and Brayden, a 1st grader.
In addition to her role on the PTO, Maggie is the Director of Risen Christ Preschool in Fairport, where she is passionate about nurturing young learners and supporting families during these important early years.
Maggie is dedicated to building community and supporting the students, families, and staff who make East Rochester such a special place. Life keeps her busy with kids, school activities, PTO projects, and preschool leadership, but she still finds joy in crafting and spending quality time with her family. She looks forward to helping create memorable experiences for students and fostering strong connections within the school community.
Brain Gravelle
Brian is a recent transplant to East Rochester, having moved to the village a little over two years ago. He’s married to Melissa Greco Lopes, and together they have three wonderful children. This is his first year on the PTO board, and it aligns with his belief that in a small town, everyone has to pitch in to make good things happen for our kids.
Brian teaches at Monroe 1 BOCES and works as a machinist during the summers. His favorite family activities include rock hounding, swimming, fishing, and hosting neighbors and parents of their kids' friends for dinner on Friday nights throughout the school year. (Feel free to schedule with them, the food is great!)
Brian has been a tireless advocate for streamlining early intervention services, reducing the parental burden to access those services, and ensuring students needs are met at every stage of their school career. His goal on the PTO is to help ensure that we make East Rochester the kind of place where children want to go to school and where teachers want to teach.
Dana Cieslinski
Dana Cieslinski i and her husband of 11 years, David Cieslinski , bought a house in East Rochester in 2019, drawn by the close-knit feel of small-town living. They’re proud parents to two children: Nora, a 4th grader, and Weston, who is in Kindergarten.
Dana is serving her first year on the PTO board as Secretary, after getting the taste of it from volunteering at several PTO events. She’s excited to take a more active role within the school community.
Originally from Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia, Dana came to Rochester to attend the University of Rochester, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Linguistics. She fell in love with the area and chose to make it her permanent home. Today, both her mother and sister also live nearby.
Since 2008, Dana has worked as a firefighter for the City of Rochester, and she currently serves as Captain at Engine 1, located at the corner of Monroe Ave. and Alexander St.
In her limited free time, Dana enjoys being outdoors with family and friends. She likes hiking, kayaking, and watching live sporting events (both of her kids and professionally). Dana is passionate about contributing to the PTO and helping foster a school environment where students, teachers, and staff feel valued and supported.
