EA Robotics is in its second year. Students participated in Bots IQ in 2019 and won the Rookie of the Year Award. This robotics competition is a battle bot style competition. The team placed 13th out of 82 teams. For the 2019-2020 school year we expanded our program to include SeaPearch. This program features an underwater robot that must be driven through an obstacle course. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic all competitions were cancelled and students were unable to compete in either competition. But please check out their respective pages to highlight all of our students' hard work and accomplishments. We hope to compete in both BotsIQ and SeaPearch again next year. We also have plans to expand into Vex Robotics competitions too.
BotsIQ is a manufacturing workforce development program whose goal is to provide a pathway for high school students to learn about rewarding career options in manufacturing. This is accomplished by inviting students to participate in an exciting, hands-on high school robotics competition.
SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) in an in-school or out-of-school setting.
In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. VEX kits inspire students to become the problem solving heroes of tomorrow.
