Application procedure
Stage 1: Pre-qualification
Criteria: academic and financial qualification.
Evaluation credential: Online pre-qualification form and education records attached.
Stage 2: Education consultation contract:
Successful applicants passed the pre-qualification will enter into contracts with EDE for taking the scholarship program service of studying in China.
Stage 3: Admission committee evaluation
Criteria: academic, financial and comprehensive qualification.
Evaluation method: Application documents of academic results and financial statement. Online interviews if applicable.
Stage 4: Admission and scholarship granting
Letters of admission and Form JW202 for students’ visa application will be issued to applicants who have successfully passed Admission Committee evaluation.

Q-2: How does the scholarship work?
A: The EDE scholarship programs are merit-based, not on the basis of need as many applicants reckon unfortunately. Therefore, the qualification principle is, better academic outcomes enable better scholarship coverage. Applicants shall choose appropriate option and level of scholarship carefully that corresponding to academic results to get a better change of admission.
Q-3 Why haven’t I got a feedback after submitting the form?
A: We usually get back to applicants within 1-2 days after receiving pre-qualification form, if you haven’t received a feedback after 2 days, it may because you didn’t satisfy one or both qualification criteria: academic performance or your financial budget. We are sorry that you did not pass the pre-qualification to be shortlisted for the next step evaluation.
Q-4: What costs will scholarships cover?
A: The Scholarship covers only those costs that happen inside China e.g. part/full cost of tuition/accommodation, It does not cover any costs outside China. e.g. Air ticket, admission & placement fee, visa fees etc., which need to be paid by your self funds as well as those costs in China that is not covered by the scholarship you will get.
Q-5: Is it possible to submit online application form multiple times.
A: Multiple submissions is not advisable because confusions would result in the system to disable of your application process. Please do not send more than one form. If you really need to make change to your application form, please contact us on whatsapp, EDE staff will need to change for you manually
Q-6: Where will self funds budget be needed?
A: Under the EDE scholarship program, your study in China will be financed jointly by scholarship coverage and your self funds. For example: One of the level-1 Bachelor’s degree scholarships, covers 100% of tuition & 100% on-campus accommodation cost. It means except for the tuition and accommodation cost, all other costs would need to be paid by the applicants with he/her self funds, including but not limited to: air ticket , visa cost, admission & placement fees, food & personal expenses in China etc. Estimations of self funds budget can be found at EDE website: www.eastdynedu.com for your reference.
Q-7 What if the certificate and test results of highest education has not yet being issued by UNEB ?
Please upload the testimonial from the school you graduate from the contents should include: time, subjects and results of UACE you sat, your school performance during your senior years, date of graduation from the school.
Q-8: Why is applicant’s self funding qualification important?
EDE and the sponsor universities work together to endeavor providing not only great opportunities of study, but also successful education results. Sufficient self-funding budget is an essential factor for students to be able to concentrate on their study and enjoy pleasant experience of study life in China. This is why appropriate self funding budget is an important consideration as well as academic results to qualify the program.
Q-9 what shall I do to catch up with the application deadline?
A: Because it is towards end of September 2024 in-take, Interested applications are advised to start applying passport and “non-crime records” from the police authority. This will save time for documents preparation.
