What to do now that scoping has closed
The scoping comment period closed at 5:00 p.m. Pacific on October 5, 2026. The letters residents sent are now part of the CEQA record and will be summarized in the CPUC's Scoping Report. Here is what matters between now and the Draft EIR.
Get on the CPUC notification list. Email CEQA@suncrestloop-in.com with the subject line "SDG&E Suncrest 230kV Loop-In Project" and ask to receive all future notices. Include your name, mailing address and email address. This is how the Scoping Report and the Draft EIR will reach you.
Keep building the record. Photographs of your property and your views, wind readings, evacuation experiences, insurance cancellations and FAIR Plan notices will all be useful when the Draft EIR is published.
Plan to comment on the Draft EIR. That is the main opportunity to comment on the actual analysis, and the CPUC must respond to those comments in writing. Issues generally have to be raised before the decision in order to be argued later.
