Early Era
East Macomb County was formed on the 15th of November 2022, with its first city being Northwest Warren. The population during that time was ~20 residents and it was a booming population. The area of Rossville was founded on the 12th of December 2022 soon after its formation, it joined the city of Northwest Warren as a neighborhood within the city. The population during that time was around ~70 residents in the entire county, the 2nd most populated county.
Development
East Macomb County continued to grow in population, however, a land new dispute arose with the breakaway region of the Goat Republic. The Goat Republic had a claim over the neighborhood of Northern Warren. The first elections in the county happened on the 17th of December 2022 with several representatives and senators elected for the representation of East Macomb County. The population continued rising to ~90 residents, while the economy remained largely undeveloped. The population would continue to grow further with the land area rising to 0.60 square miles. An attempted uprising would happen in late December with it being quickly suppressed peacefully, the event would later be known as the London Republic Attempted Uprising. By January 2023 things were looking stable until the January Crisis, a plot involving several NYF citizens, it ended in late January with the citizens joining back the NYF side peacefully. The neighborhood of Rossville split away from the city of Northwest Warren on the 15th of January 2023.
Stagnation & Reorganization
East Macomb County's population started stagnating with the population standing at ~170 residents and the economy grew slowly. East Macomb County officially became a county on the 28th of April 2023 about 1 week before the Woodland Wars. The Woodland War started when the Republic of New York declared war on the Goat Republic, this resulted in the defeat of the Goat Republic and then revoking their claim to the Northern Warren neighborhood. The County slowed down once again in economy and population until around June of 2023. East Macomb County expanded more with the incorporation of the city of Rockfall Point and the town of Cedar Rapids. The population rose from ~170 residents to 200 residents and the economy started booming with the GDP rising and surpassing North Atlantic County.
Current Era
East Macomb County is currently undergoing an economic boom, while the population rose to ~220 residents. The county remains the second most populated region in the New York Federation, while its GDP surpassed the Autonomous Region of La Sereyard taking the first place economically. East Macomb County has undergone multiple reforms and dealt with the Central Warren Conflict, resulting in a 5% expansion of its land area. Its largest city was renamed from Northwest Warren to Warrenite on 11 November 2024. Rockfall National Park was officially established on November 28 as the first national park of the New York Federation. It was designated as a micronational heritage site on 31 December 2024.
