Reporting Tools
If this is an emergency situation or you are in immediate danger, call 911 or Duke Police at (919) 684-2444.
The Office for Institutional Equity (OIE) provides an online Incident Reporting tool for reporting incidents of protected-status harassment, discrimination, and related misconduct, including sexual misconduct.
The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards collaborates with OIE to provide supportive measures in reports of sexual misconduct and to resolve sexual misconduct reports in certain cases.
Blue Devils Care offers 24/7 mental telehealth support to all students at no cost.
Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) offers confidential individual and group counseling, couples counseling, and referral to off-campus specialty resources.
The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity (CSGD) provides support to students from marginalized sexual orientations, romantic orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
The Women’s Center plays an important role in educating and programming on women’s rights, gender equity, toxic masculinity, and serves as a place to build community for all women-identifying students.
The Balthrop-Cassidy Fellows work to prevent sexual assault on campus through healthy relationship training that helps Duke students understand boundaries and consent, be able to identify the signs of an unhealthy relationship, and know how to help a friend in need. More information is available by contacting current fellows, Bailey Bogle or Corey Pilson.
You can access the university’s complaint policies and procedures via the Policy on Prohibited Discrimination, Harassment, and Related Misconduct. Please also refer to the following flowchart for information about the process: https://oie.duke.edu/file/oie-reporting-process-oct-2021png
To discuss your options for reporting sexual misconduct at Duke, please contact Adrienne Allison, the Acting Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Students, in the Office for Institutional Equity at adrienne.allison@duke.edu. You can speak to Adrienne about options before deciding on reporting.
Prospective Students
Bull Buddies
We are excited to announce a new aspect of Ph.D. recruitment in the ECE department called Bull Buddies. Starting in 2021, this program pairs invited prospective Ph.D. students with current Ph.D. students at Duke. The purpose of this program is to give interviewing Ph.D. students a student contact within the department to answer any questions they may have about Duke, ECE, and the Durham area. If you were an invited Ph.D. student and do not know who your Bull Buddie is, please email easeatduke@gmail.com
Information
Please visit the Duke ECE graduate program website for official information about research areas and curriculum. More information on the Ph.D. program can be found here, and Master's program information can be found here.
