EASE is a graduate student-led organization that aims to build a community within the ECE department through hosting social, academic, wellbeing, and outreach events. Further, we act as a liaison to the DGSA office. We voice concerns to the department and provide feedback to the administration.
We meet on the first Monday of every month at 12:30 PM. If you are unable to attend our monthly general body meetings, there are many ways to stay involved! Email us at easeatduke@gmail.com to become involved.
We would like to give a special acknowledgement to Amy Kostrewa and Tony Strimple, for their dedication in building a community within the ECE department. Without their initiative, this student organization would not be what it is today.
In addition, we would like to acknowledge the steering committee who founded EASE: Gregory Spell, Lidea Shahidi, Anil Ganti, Vaishakhi Mayya, and Felicia McGuire.
We would also like to thank Natalie Rozman, the former President of EASE, for her commitment to this organization and establishing the first student-led executive board. Her willingness to plan a wide range of events cultivated an inclusive environment within the department.
Lastly, we appreciate the hard work done by Angela Chanh, Tony Strimple, Taylor DeMaio, and Dr. Aaron Franklin for their open communication and for keeping this organization alive. Without the funding from the ECE department, we would not be able to host events.
