Meet the Smiths

These are the Smiths.

What seems like an ordinary family is anything but ordinary.

The main character is Rick who is the definition of a mad scientist. In the picture above he is in the lab coat and crazy hair, told you, totally a mad scientist. Rick is arguably the most intelligent lifeform - yes, life form, not just human - in the whole universe. Rick's wife passed away but before her death they had a child together. The child's name is Beth.

Beth grew up and became a heart surgeon for horses, not humans. She wanted to become a human heart surgeon but life happened. Beth went out with Jerry, her future husband, and accidentally got pregnant. They decided to keep the child and name her Summer. Therefore, Beth gave up her dream of being a human heart surgeon and settled for animals. She is now married to Jerry.

Jerry is the stay at home dad. Jerry and Beth then had another child named Morty. Morty is a kind and light-hearted kid. He just wants to date Jessica and live a normal high school life but instead gets dragged by his grandpa Rick to go on many adventures all throughout the universe. Although Morty is sometimes a pushover, when he gets upset he will burst out in anger and outrage.

Summer, also like Morty, just wants to live a normal high school life and be popular. However, she occasionally gets roped into adventures with Rick and Morty as well.

It is important to note that the way we think of the universe is way different that Rick and everyone in his timeline does. We know of the solar system and of earth just as plain old earth. However, Rick discovered that there are many dimensions, which have earth in them with many different solar systems and lifeforms. Each earth is unique and usually has other versions of the same people. So each earth has a Smith family on it but each version of the family differs greatly. For some strange reason Rick names his home planet Earth C-137. Maybe it is his lucky number or his favorite prime number or just random?

Rick is always doing something, whether it is drinking, creating new matter, going on adventures or watching interdimensional cable TV. Sometimes a combination of those!

One day, when Summer and Morty returned home from school Rick was gone. They figured this was their chance to steal some secret gadgets for their use. They got into Rick's lab. Morty saw love potion #9 which he put in his pocket to later use on Jessica. Summer saw a pair of shoes which allowed her to walk on walls. They kept looking around and eventually found an underground lab. Summer and Morty explored and eventually a hallway led to a room with little vials all over the walls. In the middle of the room were two chairs with a helmet in each chair. They wondered what these were. The only way to find out was to see what happened. They grabbed two red vials that were paired: one said "Morty: The Fall" and the other "Summer: The Fall." Summer, curious to see what this meant, put the vial in this round circle opening on the front of the helmet. It clicks into place and Summer closes her eyes. Morty, a bit reluctant, takes time before putting his in.

Morty felt a jolt of electricity and began wailing as only Morty can. He tried to take it off but the helmet tightened. A black screen began coming down from the helmet and he closed his eyes to try and relax. It was pitch black. Then a voice started to talk saying "Welcome, Morty." The screen displayed a message inside the helmet saying:

"Welcome to Rick's Mindblowers!

Prepare to have your mind blown away!

Now entering: The Fall. Enjoy!"
