Tobii DynaVox, Prentke Romich Company and Saltillo are all offering free lesson plans to be used during this time. Below are some of my favorite early childhood resources from each company. Most resources focus on Core Vocabulary, which are the versatile, flexible words important for all emergent AAC users to learn, and practice, in order to become competent communicators. These activities can be used during direct telepractice, as well as consultative telepractice using a modeling and coaching process.

PRC's Language Lab is typically a subscription service, but right now SLP's can access the resources using a 2 month free trial. Lesson Plans are organized by stages. For young emergent communicators Stage 1 and 2 lessons may be the most pertinent.

Core First Learning Books are a series of lesson plans that focus on one core word per story. The story books were created specifically to target one core word at a time. During this time of telepractice the books can be shared with a student via screenshare digitally.

Saltilo Chat Corner is a resource for TouchChat with Wordpower core word lesson plans. Try out any of the links under Books and Stories. They include YouTube videos of read alouds of some great books like Click, Clack Moo: Cows That Type and Curious George at the Zoo. Each read-aloud includes target words to model on the Wordpower software while listening to the book. Again, these read alouds can be shared with a student during telepractice using screenshare on your distance technology platform.
