Coloring Green Ideas
Work in progress.
I'm creating a coloring book about language & linguistics.
The targeted release date for the book is Winter 2026. I plan to make the coloring pages free to use/pay-what-you-want online, with a more complete book available on print on demand. There is no generative ai used in my work.
Coloring credit to an anonymous Ling R1b student who left their page behind on the last day of class, hopefully on accident.

Widzi.pdfImage description: A Ouija board is labeled Widʒi, in IPA. A Ouija board is a toy for supposedly communicating with spirits by pushing a planchette, or pointer, around the board. A normal board has the regular alphabet in the middle, a row of numbers on bottom, and Yes and No in the corners. This board has IPA symbols for American English consonants in place of the letters and vowels in place of the numbers. Yes and No have been replaced with “AFF” and “NEG,” to reference the glossing for “affirmative” and “negative.” The planchette is centered around [u]. The implication is that you could use it for getting phonetic detail from a ghost, and this ghost is saying “Ooooh!”
