What is remote blended learning

Due to the corona pandemic, DepEd has instructed all public and private schools to develop a blended method of teaching by setting up a remote learning thru On-Line program while the quarantine is still in effect and continue the face-to-face teaching once the students are allowed to go back to school. The tentative date for the students to return to school is end of August.

Technical and Physical Requirements needed at home

Internet connection - cable or wifi is good
Laptop, personal computer is a must and we encourage your child to work from here instead of mobile devices
Mobile devices like android tablets, iPad are acceptable, but will only be used for video conferences with the teacher & fellow students
A good quality earphone with built-in microphone, & a videocam (built-in or external)
A quiet place at home with chair and table where the child can study

Adult supervision is key

Presence of an adult (parent, yaya, older sibling, grandparents, relative), that can monitor the child to focus, be attentive and concentrate on his studies while online will help your child further. It is important that as a parent, you take time in supporting your child so he or she can cope up with online classes. Your presence will also boost your child's confidence.

Class, Assignment & homework Schedule

Each student will meet online with the teachers 3x a week on a pre-scheduled class time. The rest of the week (2 days) will be for doing the assignments and homeworks off-line.
Parents' consultation hours with teachers will be arranged.
Major subjects for Graders will be English, Math, Science and Filipino. English subject will be integrated with Word Building and Literature.

All online curriculum will follow the original curriculum being taught in a school setting and will be credited as a continuation of the minimum competencies required by DepEd to finish the basic education required for graduation. Books and materials will be the same, except that they are transformed into digital presentation.

what you need to install for the online class journey

Create your Google account

Before anything else, a student MUST HAVE a working GOOGLE ACCOUNT (Gmail) to be able to join any online class. It is our pre-requisite once enrolled.

Kindly see the different tools and apps you need to install or get acquainted with to start your online journey with your child. These are the 'basic' tools to be used but will not be limited only to these since teachers will continuously adjust their way of teaching online.

Teachers will invite your child to the Online Class he or she is enrolled in. The invite will be sent to their gmail /email address.

Google Meet

Google Meet will be used for video conferences with your child.

This is also where full instruction takes place with other students in his/her class.

Google JAMBOARD

Jamboard serves as a WHITEBOARD wherein teachers will annotate or make notes during the video session

Jamboard will be available to your child, once you create your Google account with them.
