About Eagle Rockbotics
We are Eagle Rockbotics, FRC Team 6658, a collection of grades 8-12 students in Eagle Rock High School from different backgrounds competing together in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
Each January, we are given six weeks to design, build, and program a 115-lb multifunctional robot. Following that, we compete with and against other teams throughout the nation. We also manage our team as a small business.
The goal of Eagle Rockbotics is to create exciting robots for regional competitions through FRC. Along the way, we strive to foster a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) among our students and to have an impact on their future careers and lives. Through our experience as a team, our alumni have been accepted to top schools such as MIT, CalTech, and Princeton through the experience they acquired in our program
Through FIRST and FRC, do we give our students opportunities to experience a multitude of things and topics.
Build and compete with a robot they design themselves
Work alongside like-minded students with passions for creation
Learn to use professional hardware and software
Develop skills such as engineering design, project management, programming, teamwork, and strategic thinking
Qualify for over $14 million in college scholarships only available to FIRST students
The game that is featured in the FIRST Robotics Competition, along with the required set of tasks, changes annually.
This year's game is called Crescendo, where teams score "notes" into a "speaker" and an "amp" to gain points. Learn more about previous seasons' games below.
Below are our robots from previous years, all the way since our rookie year 2017.
Through a combination of electrical, mechanical, and programming skills can we create and control these robots!
Team Structure
Team 6658 is separated into four subteams: mechanical, electrical, programming, and admin. Each group is in charge of different elements of the robot.
