EAPOST Scholars Program:
Fall 2024
Note: Registration for Fall 2024 has now closed. Please email us (see below) to be added to our mailing list for Spring 2025.
How to be an EAPOST scholar:
Choose a module from:
Introductory to Statistical Investigations (Wiley textbook) or Intermediate Statistical Investigations (Wiley Textbook),
Free introductory investigations with biology contexts,
Free online materials that Beth Chance has developed (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3), or
Pulling multivariable thinking concepts/approaches (e.g., Sources of Variation diagrams) in to existing modules from any of the three choices above,
Or, other content/materials that our team has developed or is very familiar with (including things you may already be planning on using this Fall)
Attend a 75-minute online workshop in September 2024 which will walk you through the module in detail preparing you to teach from it. Receive additional post-workshop support (office hours style) with members of our team helping you prepare to teach the module in your class.
Teach the module to your class(es) in October/November.
In November/December be a panelist in a 60-minute webinar alongside others who implemented the module discussing your experience with implementation.
Why you should be an EAPOST scholar:
You receive support to implement a module (1-2 class periods) utilizing content and pedagogy you experience in one of our workshops.
Get to share ideas with other educators implementing similar modules
All fully participating scholars receive a $250 stipend after the panel discussion.
To participate in the Fall 2024 EAPOST Scholars program, please indicate your interest by Monday August 26th on the following form.
Space is limited and not all those interested may be selected. Selected participants will be based on module of interest, as well as day/time email was received (first come, first served within module). Decisions will be made by Friday, August 30th and you will be notified by email if you are accepted as an EAPOST scholar for Fall 2024.
