Islanding detection:
A Literature review was done on Islanding detection techniques.
Sandia Frequency shift method was selected and implemented in the MATLAB Simulink environment.
A basic block diagram of the proposed method is shown below.

Sandia Frequency algorithm
In this method, instantaneous frequency is compared with a reference frequency and tries to drive the current frequency towards the trip limits in an islanding condition.
The system was first implemented using a SRF-PLL block. (Synchronous Reference frame)
