The proposed inverter was implemented in a PCB.
Intelligent Power Module (IPM) FSBB20CH60F was used for the inverting section with IGBTs.
A Texas Board was used to supply the PWM signals needed for the IGBT gate signals.
Optocouplers were used for the protection of the Texas board.
Testing and debugging were done throughout the 2nd week.
These figures depict the two sides of the fully mounted PCB for the inverter.
Fully mounted PCB-IPM side
Fully mounted PCB-Upper side
Got a good hands-on experience and practice in mounting the components on PCB and learned about the practical aspects related to circuit implementation.
Overcame the practical difficulties that occurred. eg: The designed PCB path for the inverter 3 phase output was not enough to flow the rated current. Therefore, the area of the path was widened as shown in above figure using Cu wires.
