Another huge historical mark the Mesozoic era is known for is the continential drift of Pangea (Tang 2022). The continential drift of Pangea is the formation of how the continent are as of now. A little background on Pangea starts with Marie Tharp and Alfred Wegener. Alfred Wegener was a Meteorologist who noticed Pangaea (Cooper 2022). As well as Alfred, Marie was a Glomar Explorer who also noticed the continential drift. The only difference was that Marie had actual evidence leading to the drift. Marie Tharp had a map that connected to Alfred's idea (Cooper 2022).
