Ericka

Two poems for Ericka here...

LUCKY STAR

Dark smog embraced the clouds of night

On darkened sphere, orb in flight

Tunneling through a blackened space

Lost, lost, this suffering race.

Hovering darkness, celestial cave

Intent to make the race a grave,

Intent to blur and victimize

To guillotine all seeing eyes.

Such pride, such hate, a Vandal loose

Tightening down his surly noose

And shadowy fingers intent to blind

The eyes, the heart, the soul, the mind.

Reprieve? Release? Is cavalry near?

(But this dark presence is hidden, I fear)

What reinforcements will it take

Before this black hole force will break?

What beacon is this, chalking the sky?

A midnight comet, a midnight cry.

Piercing the darkness, sent from afar

Over a stable, a Bethlehem star.

Happy Valentines Day, Star

Cupid shot his arrow far

It hit 3rd hour's lucky Star

Fireworks shot o'er Heavn's places

Shooting toward the not-yet Spaces

The future in the past embeds

How? it baffles mighty heads

Is it chance or is it fate

The past was thinking of this date?

Was it meant to be from long ago

Or are we caught in Darwin's show?

But I will take it either way

To have you as my friend today
