Where do they come from?
Once green and brown they spires,
Opening
With colorful fire
Orion,
my nine year old son,
Mowed the front yard grass
All by himself, for the first time,
This summer.
Pretty flowers leave no clue
Of how they grew;
But when I see them
I smile.
There is one
Orion
HomeSpun
A fun pun.
Like sun,
Never done
A garland
No gun.
My son
As dad
I’ve had
No sad
No mad
Just glad
From birth
Your worth
Gives mirth
With global girth
One day
You’ll know what I say
Without this word play
Because words cannot say
What I feel today
So a poem
Will dome
The foam
Of this tome
Until a word
Unheard
(A bird)
Will gird
You, nerd
The show
The glow
No foe
Can know
Will fill you-oh!
Head to toe
You’ll be the one
To feel my fun
When, Orion,
You hold your son
===============
I look up and there you are
Shining brightly
Twinkly star
Did I ever tell you how high
I am by seeing you
In the sky?
Mighty comfort, and its fun
To see you
Orion
My heavenly adoration
Is not for many;
You’re the one
It’s no symbolic constellation
When I tell you
I love you, son.

Bachelors
Bachelors have a party every day
bachelors can you come out and play?
bachelors swagging in their way
bachelors. - make my day!
bachelors live in an unreal world
Like a flag their cockiness unfurled
bachelors think they're just so cool
Acting like their nobody's fool
like Kim Jong Un they think they rule
their times their own, their number one
in freedom pleasures and of course in fun
but come on bachelors who you crappin'?
your mouth is like some dictator flappin'!
Saying things you can't pull off
hey! your rocket landed in the Atlantic trough!
big wind up little pitch
there's no star to which
you can hitch
People say you look so pure
oh-- wait, -- that's what you say when you look in the mirror!
So come on admit it you bachelor punk ass
you act tough but you've lost your gas
So get some wisdom with a little tryin'
And follow the path of Mr. Orion!
Work for some children you can't see
Set your sights on eternity
Use toothpaste wrappers and cardboard scraps
To spin some poems, some words, some raps!
Make some movies, text the gang
Then do the California thang...
And in your travels be sure to find
A Texas virgin, sweet and kind.
Then throw a bash to make Texas look small
A party where there's fun far all
Have your brother gather the guys
Have you father act like he's wise
And when the dust settles let bachelors know
They can't hold a candle to a married show;
Crackers in bed and hourly giggles
And you're the owner of those sexy wiggles!
You're legally hitched to a debating queen
A beauty at you side at every scene
A friend, a mentor, a lover, a coach-
And whatda you got, you bachelor cockroach?
So, come on, admit it, Orion's the man!
he's the one with a winning plan
So bachelors of the world unite!
And let all know- Orion's done it right!!!!

Grecian Urn No More
Keat’s Ode on a Grecian urn be crushed
As Orion’s fingers Bekah’s cheekbone touch
As symphony of Heaven’s trumpets blare
And Earth responds, anointing special pair.
So shout with angels, shout! with all abandon!
Shout you precious Jasmine and Aladdin!
Nature’s bounty shower’d with Zion’s dust
As lovers’ kiss on ent’ring holy Trust.

To Rebekah and Orion on their Wedding Day
Looking out my window at this early hour
I see the symbol of statehood power.
Curves majestic, point to the heavens
The burden of state our trifles unleavens.
For to take on the welfare of us all
Is a true democratic government’s call.
Aristotle said ‘tis noble to do.
Though often abused, it’s a calling that’s true.
Obama, Rick Perry, and all the rest
If true, try to make our future blessed.
And this they should, though they will fail
Due to humanity’s original pale.
So hearken, Orion, to the Gov’nor you’ve chosen
Awaken, Rebekah, to the Way you’re proposing.
He took our welfare as His calling,
Came to us when we were falling
His burden bearing true Government’s weight
Stricken, opening Heaven’s gate.
So as you wed in Capitol’s shade
Through institution He has made
Be joyous, sing! With new creation
Pahls in chain to unending Nation!
