Biography of Julanne Augustin 

Julanne Augustin, the eldest daughter of Ersule Lamothe and the esteemed sister of the beloved pastor Ernest Augustin, stands as a remarkable figure in Duverger d'Aquin, Haiti. Her educational journey commenced at the Ecole National de Vieux Bourg d'Aquin and led her through a path of excellence, including Lycee Pierre Sully d'Aquin, College Oswald Durand, and College Alpha, where she meticulously honed her academic prowess.


Fueled by an unswerving passion for education, Julanne embarked on a journey into the realm of preschool education at the Ecole Normale Primaire et Prescolaire de Diquini in Port-au-Prince, culminating in her graduation as a distinguished normalienne Prescolaire. Her teaching career began at College Paul VI, where she dedicated an impressive 11 years to shaping young minds and imparting knowledge.


In 1999, Julanne returned to Duverger and briefly contributed to her brother's school in Vieux Bourg d'Aquin. Confronted with various challenges, she took a bold and audacious step, establishing on September 16, 2004 'l'ile aux Papillons,' a much-needed kindergarten school in Duverger, addressing a profound community need.




The transformative moment arrived in 2016 when 'l’île aux Papillons' evolved into the 'Ecole Communautaire de Duverger d'Aquin,' extending its mission beyond preschool education to become a pivotal center for comprehensive learning. This transformation symbolized not only hope and resilience but also a commitment to ensuring exceptional academic achievements in national exams.
