New Sermon Series Begins !
Oct 25 - Nov 22
About the Series: Thanksgiving comes once a year, but gratitude was meant to be a way of life. This fall, we’re walking through five psalms that teach us how to start with thanks, remember what God has done, say so out loud, give back, and celebrate. Whether you’re overflowing with blessings or just getting through a hard season, there’s room for you here.
Join us each Sunday, and bring someone with you as we get ready for Thanksgiving by learning to live thankful.
A Five Week Study Guide to help Us Grow Life Habits of Gratitude
Oct 25 - Nov 22
Each week coincides with the week's message and includes a warm-up question, three simple questions about the psalm, one practical step, a prayer, and optional daily readings that will correspond with Faith Alive’s Pray First Daily Devotional..
In Christ,
Pastor Paul

Get your Trunks Ready!
Anyone! Everyone! ALL OF YOUR are welcome to park and hand out candy during the Trunk or Treat!
We love Huron and we love being able to do fun things in our community! Especially when it involves kids & candy! We will, once again, be holding a trunk or treat in the church parking lot on Halloween Night. This was super fun last year and we handed candy out to over 600 kids which means meeting a lot of families and seeing a lot of smiles coming through our parking lot!
Yes, you should come, bring the kids, bring the costumes, bring the fun!
Sweet! You would like to park and hand out candy!
Park in the west parking lot before 5:15pm
Please bring your own candy, as you are able, we plan for over 600 kids
Note to Cars: Family-friendly decorations & costumes, please! (please no icky/scary)
Families! KKLC, LBLC & Faith Alive Families! NICE TO KNOW...More and more families have found that it is really fun to come hand out candy because your kids not only get to walk the trunk or treat but they also get to show off their costumes to lots of people & they get to see and hand out candy to lots of their prescool, daycare & church friends who come too! Plus there's still time to hit the streets when it's done!
Candy! Candy! Candy! Truck-or Treat- is Hot on our Heals! We will be collecting candy to hand out again this year. Donations can be brought anytime!
We are collecting candy to have on hand for those who need it. In addition to people bringing their own candy, we used every bit of our donations last year. It takes a crazy amount of candy to hand out to 600+ kids with the multiple stops! Collection in the church lobby.

"All Saints Sunday" Recognition
All Saints is a Christian Tradition that takes place on the first Sunday in November each year. Faith Alive honors this tradition by celebrating the lives of loved ones of the church who have passed away over the last year. During the 9AM Worship service, each person's name will be read aloud with a traditional ringing of a bell as a way to give thanks for each of their lives. Faith Alive also receives Memorial Gifts throughout the year in honor of loved ones who have passed away. Gifts given over the past year, will be recognized in the bulletin. Memorial Gifts given in any amount over $50.00 or Honorariums of $250 or more will also be recognized with a plaque being placed on the Wall of Honor in the church lobby.

"The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning! I say to myself, 'The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in Him." - Lamentations 3:22-24
This is us Faith Alive! This is our Vision Statement. These important words reflect our beliefs, answers the question of why we are here, and define our identity as a church family.
Our Beliefs...
Bible The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the authority in all matters of faith, belief, and conduct. (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
God There is one living, personal God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Rev. 1:8; Isaiah 43:10-11; Deut. 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
People God created people in his image; everyone matters to God. (Gen. 1:26-27; Gen. 5:1-2) All people sin, fall short of God’s standard, and need God’s forgiveness.(Rom. 3:23)
Jesus Christ Jesus, the Son, sent by the Father to live on earth, was fully God and fully human, and was without sin. Jesus willingly laid down his life in a crucifixion death and was raised from the grave by the Father, paying the price for all sin. Through his death, resurrection, and ascension Jesus has defeated the power of sin, death, and the devil. (Lk. 1:31-35; 1 Cor. 15:3; 2 Cor. 5:21; Col. 1:13-14)
Salvation Those who confess and turn from their sin and trust in Jesus Christ will be saved by God’s grace, becoming children of God with the promise of eternal life. (John 3:16-17; Gal 3:26)
Church Jesus Christ is the head of the church, which is made up of all believers. The church is the light of the world. (Eph. 4:15-16; Matthew 5:14)
Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin and to empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. He lives in each believer and is a constant comfort, teacher and guide, helping us to become more like Jesus Christ. (John 14:16-17; Gal. 5:22-23)
Christ’s Return Jesus Christ will return. There will be a final judgment and a restoration of all things into a new heaven and new earth. (Matthew 24:37; Rev. 21:5)
It is exciting times at Faith Alive, not because what we are doing but because each day is another day to know and share Christ more!
