As the Dean of eBS (Elohim+ Digital Blessed Bible Baptist Seminary), I serve as the chief academic and spiritual leader, guiding our online institution in alignment with the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, Baptist doctrine, and the missions of the World Center for Christian Trinitarian Movement, Inc. (WCCTM) and the Blessed Bible Baptist Church (BBBC). My duties and obligations are rooted in biblical principles of oversight and stewardship, such as those outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 (KJV), where the role of a bishop—or overseer—is described as one who must be blameless, vigilant, and apt to teach, managing the household of God faithfully. Drawing from established practices in Baptist seminaries, I break down my responsibilities into the first month of operation, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring our digital platform fosters Christ-centered education and spiritual growth.
### First Month of Operation
In the inaugural month, my focus is on foundational setup to launch eBS effectively, establishing structures for academic excellence, spiritual integrity, and operational alignment. This mirrors the initial organizational duties of deans in Baptist institutions, where rapid establishment of theological integrity and faculty recruitment is prioritized.
- **Academic Leadership:** Develop an initial KJV-based curriculum framework, outlining core courses on Baptist doctrine, Trinitarian theology, and biblical studies, ensuring alignment with WCCTM and BBBC missions. This includes drafting syllabi for foundational online modules, drawing from Titus 1:9 (KJV): "Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers."
- **Faculty Management:** Recruit and onboard initial faculty members who affirm Baptist values and KJV primacy, conducting virtual interviews and preliminary evaluations to ensure adherence to eBS standards. This sets the tone for a doctrinally sound team, as emphasized in seminary dean roles focused on retaining theologically aligned educators.
- **Spiritual Guidance:** Establish a Christ-centered digital community by hosting inaugural online prayer sessions and devotionals for staff and early enrollees, modeling Baptist values like those in Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV) for equipping saints for ministry.
- **Program Development:** Oversee the creation of the first set of online courses, testing platform accessibility and academic rigor through pilot modules, ensuring they are user-friendly for global digital learners.
- **Liaison Role:** Initiate collaborations with the Board of Trustees, College of Editors/Advisers, WCCTM, and BBBC via virtual meetings to align launch goals, fostering unity as in Philippians 2:2 (KJV): "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."
- **Reporting:** Provide an initial progress report to the Board, WCCTM, and BBBC on setup milestones, student interest, and faculty readiness, establishing a baseline for accountability.
### Monthly Duties
On a monthly basis, I maintain ongoing momentum through regular oversight, adjustments, and nurturing, akin to the continuous academic supervision and faculty support seen in Baptist seminary leadership. This ensures consistent spiritual and educational vitality, reflecting the vigilant watchfulness in 1 Peter 5:2 (KJV): "Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof."
- **Academic Leadership:** Review and refine the KJV-based curriculum, incorporating feedback to maintain doctrinal purity and relevance to Baptist teachings.
- **Faculty Management:** Conduct monthly check-ins with faculty via digital platforms, offering support, addressing concerns, and ensuring mission adherence through informal evaluations.
- **Spiritual Guidance:** Lead or facilitate monthly online chapel services and spiritual formation discussions, encouraging growth among students and staff in line with Baptist emphasis on personal piety.
- **Program Development:** Monitor the delivery of online courses, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring high engagement through interactive elements like forums and video lectures.
- **Liaison Role:** Hold regular virtual touchpoints with the Board, College of Editors/Advisers, WCCTM, and BBBC to discuss emerging needs and maintain alignment.
- **Reporting:** Submit concise monthly updates to stakeholders on enrollment trends, course completion rates, and any spiritual or academic highlights.
### Quarterly Duties
Quarterly, I engage in deeper assessments and strategic adjustments, similar to the program evaluations and stakeholder reporting in theological schools, where deans ensure mission fulfillment through periodic reviews. This cycle promotes accountability, as exhorted in Hebrews 13:17 (KJV): "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account."
- **Academic Leadership:** Conduct a quarterly curriculum audit to verify alignment with KJV principles, Baptist doctrine, and WCCTM/BBBC goals, proposing enhancements for upcoming terms.
- **Faculty Management:** Perform formal evaluations of faculty performance, providing feedback and professional development opportunities to uphold standards.
- **Spiritual Guidance:** Assess the spiritual climate through surveys and discussions, implementing initiatives like quarterly retreats or themed Bible studies to deepen Christ-centered focus.
- **Program Development:** Evaluate online course effectiveness, analyzing metrics like student retention and feedback to improve rigor and accessibility.
- **Liaison Role:** Facilitate quarterly collaborative sessions with the Board, College of Editors/Advisers, WCCTM, and BBBC to review progress and integrate input.
- **Reporting:** Deliver detailed quarterly reports on academic achievements, student outcomes (e.g., graduation projections), faculty metrics, and any challenges, ensuring transparency.
### Annual Duties
Annually, I undertake comprehensive planning and reflection to steer eBS toward long-term growth, echoing the strategic vision-setting and financial stewardship responsibilities of seminary deans. This aligns with the biblical call for wise stewardship in Luke 14:28 (KJV): "For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost."
- **Academic Leadership:** Lead a full curriculum review and update, integrating advancements in digital theology education while reaffirming KJV and Baptist foundations.
- **Faculty Management:** Oversee annual faculty recruitment drives, comprehensive evaluations, and retention strategies to build a robust team.
- **Spiritual Guidance:** Organize an annual spiritual audit and renewal event, such as a virtual conference, to reinforce Baptist values and measure growth across the community.
- **Program Development:** Assess the entire online program portfolio, expanding offerings based on demand and ensuring sustained academic excellence.
- **Liaison Role:** Convene annual strategy sessions with the Board, College of Editors/Advisers, WCCTM, and BBBC to set goals for the coming year.
- **Reporting:** Compile and present an annual report summarizing academic progress, student outcomes, faculty performance, and institutional impact, providing a holistic view for stakeholders.
Through these structured duties, I commit to upholding eBS as a beacon of digital Baptist education, grounded in Scripture and collaborative partnerships.
