Ms. Yolanda Yao
Honorary Principal and one of the founders of DY·Studio，Calgary, Canada; Graduated from Beijing Dance Academy; Dance Researcher at Beijing Institute of Arts; Head of "Soul of Folk Dance·International Inheritance" program at the School of Continuing Education, Beijing Dance Academy; Senior Teacher for Beijing Dance Academy Graded Examinations; Senior Supervisor and Examiner for the "Chinese Classical Dance" Graded Examinations.
Created many dance works such as Boutique Combination Course for Dance Teaching, Flying Clouds of Heavenly Maidens, Rhythm of Bowls, Lashize·Dance, Harvest Festival and Sword Dance, which have won international and Chinese ministerial-level awards.
Responsible for teacher training, curriculum design, planning and implementation of students' repertoire, decision-making and implementation of performances and training programs, development of China-Canada dance study tours, and liaison for international cultural exchange projects.
