I received my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Siena (a consortium with the University of Florence and the University of Pisa), Italy.

My doctoral dissertation addresses the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from an economics perspective. I have adopted an interdisciplinary approach to focus on explainable AI as a fundamental ethical criterion for accepting autonomous system’s decisions in mixed traffic situations involving both humans and autonomous vehicles.
