Do you wish your dog would listen to you around distractions? Are you sick of being pulled down the street when you walk? Would you like to be able to include your dog in more family outings?
Private training helps you understand your dog’s behavior, address everyday challenges, and build a stronger connection. We work one-on-one with you and your dog in your home, tailoring each lesson to your concerns, goals, and progress. Flexible appointment times and practical guidance between lessons help you put what you learn into everyday practice.
All new clients will go through an initial evaluation to determine the recommended training program for you and your dog. Evaluations will last up to an hour. During this time, we will discuss current behavioral issues, training goals, gauge the dog's temperament and trainability level, and then provide a recommended training plan.
When walks are stressful, guests create chaos, or your dog’s behavior leaves you feeling overwhelmed, private training offers guidance tailored to you and your dog.
We work together on concerns such as pulling, jumping, barking, reactivity, fear, resource guarding, and aggression. Along the way, you’ll learn to recognize your dog’s cues, communicate clearly, and build the everyday skills that support a calmer life together.
Training begins with an evaluation to understand your dog’s history, your concerns, and your goals. From there, we develop an individual plan, with practical steps to follow between lessons.
After completing four private lessons, you’ll receive a $100 credit toward your fourth lesson. You’ll also receive a complimentary follow-up to use within six months of completing your fourth lesson.
