I joined RoboNav in Fall 2023, diving into the Mini Rover Challenge (MRC) from September to February 2024, where I gained hands-on experience in rover design and fabrication. After completing MRC, I was onboarded onto the main mechanical team to work on improving the primary rover's arm for the 2024 University Rover Challenge in Hanksville, Utah. This year, I have been deeply involved in the complete redesign and manufacturing of a new robotic arm, focusing on enhancing precision, weight optimization, and functionality. In addition to my design work, I am serving as a mentor for the 2024-2025 school year, guiding a team of about eight new MRC members as they learn the fundamentals of rover design and fabrication. My portfolio includes two dedicated pages: one showcasing my current work on the new arm design and another highlighting the extensive efforts I put into my MRC rover.Â
I am currently serving as RoboNav's Project Manager, and this page will be updated upon graduation to reflect on this formative experience.
The new arm design for the 2025 University Rover Challenge was reengineered for enhanced performance, precision, and reduced weight, which you can view in-detail here.
