The Volunteer Onboarding Checklist is designed to ensure every volunteer at the Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club is prepared, informed, and ready to support our youth safely and effectively. The checklist outlines required steps such as training and orientation. Completing each item helps volunteers understand our mission, safety expectations, and their role in creating a positive, welcoming environment where kids and teens can learn, grow, and belong.
1) Watch Volunteer Orientation Video (Required)
2) Complete Child Abuse Prevention Training

Let’s begin by entering your email address and then click on the ‘Submit’ button.
You will be notified if you already have an existing account. Click OK to proceed to the login page.
Use the Forgot your username or password? link to reset your login credentials.
New enrollees will be redirected to the enrollment form. Start by entering your First Name and Last Name.
DIVISION = YOUR BOYS & GIRLS CLUB ORGANIZATION NAME
Click on the SELECT REGION button to search for your Boys & Girls Club charted organization affiliation name. > You will search "Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club"
Once you insert your organization name, now create your password using the criteria noted on the screen
Please save your password and if at any time, you forget your password, please contact help desk at sluhelpdesk@bgca.net.
Click the REGISTER button to create your new account.
You will then be directed to your SLU Home page.
(As a reminder, catalog content will not be immediately available upon first login. The system will require at least 6 hours to update before the content is available for consumption. Proceed to step 7 on where to locate and register for your training.)
Once the account is established, you can then log in directly to SLU using the button below or the following link: https://slu.csod.com/client/slu/default.aspx
Once updated, trainings will be available in ‘Featured,’ ‘Child Safety’ and ‘Volunteer Track’ carousels/rotating banners under the Browse Training section.
Click on the Featured or Volunteer Track to view the available Safety related trainings.
Once you locate the training, click on the training name to you wish to register.
Click Launch to begin your training.
4) Attend Volunteer Readiness Meeting (In-Person)
This is short in-person meeting to tour the Club, review our mission, safety guidelines, and volunteer expectations, and confirm volunteer placement.
5) Watch for Your Approval Email
Once all steps are complete, you’ll receive an email confirming that you are officially approved to volunteer.
