Big site update over the last two days. I added 10 DVD's and 3 Blu-ray's. Bringing the site totals to:
DVD's: 169
Blu-ray's: 43
CD's: 12
And I have at least one more on the way.. and a another on pre-order.

I can't believe It's been a year since I created this site. It was built alongside the pandemic and I'm so privileged to be able to both collect and create this site. I hope everyone continues to find it useful. And as I have mentioned quite a bit, my mail days are a lot slower. I do have some DVD's and Blu-rays to scan and put up. And I have some on the way to me as well. Including another edition of Water Lilies. So there is quite a bit coming soon.
A few weeks ago one of the the very talented members of Portrait Nation created with her Portrait Of A Book Club On Fire some music and readings called "Pour Adèle" Her name is Kristina Valencia and along with her music partners and book club they have made it available on band camp.
Kristina's music is wonderful, and I recommend everyone have a listen.
Also something really wonderful is that if you make a donation to RAINN, and send her the receipt, she will send you a CD of the album. She will be accepting receipts through September. You can contact her via twitter @ahstripedsocks

Last week the movie poster for the UK release of Deerskin was released. The film will be on the big screen July 16, 2021 in the UK. I'm hoping after the pandemic the film will return to the US. I love that Adèle is featured on the poster. I also hope that the film will be released on DVD/BD in the UK... with this cover.
Also last week great pictures were released of Japan edition of Portrait Of A Lady On Fire. Due to the brush effects of the printing.. all of the backs of the cards will be unique. What a wonderful touch.. all of the cards will be special. I have all of the editions on pre-order. Once I receive them I will show them opened on instagram, and they all will be fully scanned and upload here and on DVD's of Céline .
I mentioned this a bit before, but the day has come. My mail days have slowed down to very little. I have scoured the web and every country I could find looking for DVD's and BD's. I do have a want list of about 5 discs. But they seem to be impossible to find. I do think I will find them eventually. Other than the Portrait discs from Japan, I have a few DVD's to scan from Brazil(they are beautiful), and another edition of Water Lilies on the way. But that's it. However I'm working on DVD's of Céline , and little by little the site will grow.
Also I still need to scan the Japanese mini posters.
I am going to decrease my instagram postings to 3-4 days a week, and some weeks maybe just two days. And I will always be blog posting as things come up. The good thing is that when I do find a disc I don't have, it's even more exciting. And this will give me more time to add additional details on the pages, like release dates.

Last week I received the Portrait art book from Green Narae Media. And this was an incredible offer. First there's the art book filled with photographic masterpieces from the film. Also as free gifts were a p.28 pin, a 9 card set, a 3 three card set and a card that was enclosed in the book. I have some photos I took of it on the Portrait page.
As a card collector, my Portrait and Adèle card collection is growing. There are many cards released with the DVD's. I'm thinking about maybe creating a separate section on the site, just to show the cards.
I saw on line the Portrait Brazil Blu-Ray will now be released on April 13, 2021. Photos of it are popping up on line. Can't wait for this.. there is one hour of bonus material on the disc.

Speaking of cards.. There are four new Portrait cards to collect from Korea. I saw some photos on twitter. These have foil embossing. They are beautiful.
I'm hoping that when Plain Archive announces the pre-order for the Portrait DVD and BD there will be lots of goodies included.
I spent this lovely Portrait day afternoon, scanning a lot of discs from films of Céline Sciamma. I just need to trim, watermark, rotate the discs and upload them. Also I need to make all of the thumbnails. I also have resumed updating my other web sites.
I should be able to launch the site next weekend.. I'm excited to share.

The documentary film from Aïssa Maïga "Regard Noir" was released in France last week. It can be seen on Canal+. I don't believe it can be seen in the US. Hopefully it will be made widely available. This is too important of a film, to have limited accesses.
I have not seen it. I have seen clips from the many guests on Instagram. Adèle appears in the film and lends her voice to the films message.
One of the disappointing things.. is having a look at IMDb. This documentary is not listed by title or by any of the associated names. I don't have a account or access to update the database.

I was able to locate the last couple of Japan rental edition DVD's I was missing. I found both L'Apollonide and La Daim. They are very cool items. And I will be uploading scans soon.
I also was able to find more Japanese mini posters. I'm missing just one now. Scans are coming on these items as well.
I'm still waiting for more DVD's and Blu-rays from Céline Sciamma to arrive in the mail, in order to finish up the launch of the website.
Really wonderful news this week.

Green Narae Media has decided to sell their artbook for Portrait De La Jeune fille En Feu directly to US customers. If you go to their instagram and click the link in their bio.. you will find a link to reserve a copy. They will email you a invoice for purchase. The book is 50$, plus 30$ shipping. Total 80$. This is wonderful news because this book was selling for hundreds of dollars on ebay. And for a brand new book, that's not that limited that price was more of a panic price. I was able to get a copy. In the the coming weeks after I receive it I will share photos. Every frame of the film is exquisite. I'm glad to have an official book.

As expected mail days have slowed down quite a bit. And that has freed up time to both watch more movies and move forward collecting DVD's and BD's of Céline's films. And also to finish up the site design for the website I'm creating. The next step is to scan, watermark and upload the discs. Just waiting on a few more editions to come in the mail. It won't be long now.
Also, Lilies Films released an image from Céline's new film Petite Mamam. The film will premiere in March at the Berlin international Film Festival. I'm looking forward to seeing it someday. Hopefully soon.
Also, sharing a link to a film "Regard Noir" that Adèle will be appearing in. At this time it looks like this film will only be shown in France. Hopefully it will have further international reach.

Last week on social media I found out that One Nation, One King is going to be released in theaters in Taiwan on Feb, 19. 2021. This is wonderful and exciting for movie fans there. I hope the film is huge success.
Last week something pretty great happened as well. And that is I got to see Heroes Don't Die. I watched it first on Amazon Prime, then on My French Film Festival. And also my DVD copy also arrived. So I also watched the disc. But that's not all.. I also downloaded from iTunes in HD. There is no Blu-ray, so if you want a HD copy, DL it.
The film really impacted me on the on the first viewing... The background events and stories were powerful.. on the 2nd viewing I really got into what the main characters were doing.. and the two strands of narratives wove together.. and I was knocked out by it. This may wind up being one of my favorite films.

Les Héros Ne Meurent Jamais [US Title] Heroes Don't Die will be available for global streaming January 15-Feburay 15 as part of the My French Film Festival. This is wonderful. You can create an account on the site, join the mailing list.. and around the world watch for a small fee. Goolge, Apple and Amazon Prime are participating, so this will very easy to access in the US. Also, in looking at the films.. there are quite a few I'm interested in seeing. There are subtitles available. Link below....
Also, next week the DVD will be released from Le Pacte. I should have my copy in the next week or two.

Happy New Year!!
I'm happy to say, that I am completely caught up on the site. All of the discs I have, are now uploaded. That's 149 DVD's, and 40 BD's. And there's more on the way... and there's more that I am searching for. Now onto the next step of adding more info from the discs to the site.. Catalog#, UPC. etc.. should take about a year to get through everything.
Also I have created a website to catalog all of Céline's films on disc. Should be able to share the link in about a week.
I wanted to share a photo from Plain Archive's social media, showing The Unknown Girl on DVD.. in the store in Korea. I love photos like this.
One of the things I have noticed is how super cool photos of the DVD's and BD's look- front to back, and the open view. Often the case is clear.. and the liner is double sided, and along with the disc art.. it just looks amazing. Here is the Australian DVD for The Trouble With You. What I plan to do is to take photos like this and add them to the site. I like how they look.

I was so happy to learn today, that Portrait will be released on a limited edition Blu-ray in Brazil. Also a DVD will be released. This edition is unique and beautiful. It will be released on March 8, 2021, international woman's day.

Looking at the bonuses, I'm really astounded at the effort. The disc art is outstanding. The bonuses, which are are over an hour I can't wait to see. Also the cards, poster and booklet, as well as the slip cover.. I'm floored. Check out the link for more details. This is a Region A BD.

I also found out that Portrait is released in Mexico on both Blu-ray and DVD. Released on Nov, 11, 2020
I don't yet have a buy link. But I have reached out to a seller in Mexico I have purchased from before. So hopefully I will be able to get these soon.
We are all still waiting for Plain Archive to drop the Korean BD and DVD.. And of course we will be expecting a release from Japan as well next year.
And of course we are still dreaming of a Water Lilies BD.. with lots of goodies and extras.. Hoping this will happen.
Portrait opened this weekend in Japan. In following the hashtags on twitter, I saw nothing but positive reviews and comments. There were a lot of theatre goodies for the premier. Flyers, mini posters, booklets and souvenir tickets. And some beautiful displays of theatre posters. If you collect posters.. these would defiantly ones to chase after.
I'm looking forward to the holidays. I will have some time off, that I can devote to adding more content to this site.
And lastly, Cineart in The Netherlands_Belgium region has released Portrait in thier La Collection De Collectie DVD.
I have this one on the way. I will put up scans once I receive it.

After giving various storage solutions a lot of thought, I decided to go with Snap-N-Store boxes. The idea of them is basically like a shoe box. These are sturdy and more compact then a storage bin style box. I have six of them. This will hold just over 150 DVD's. And I have my Blu-ray's in a media drawer for now.
I also picked up these mini Japanese posters. They are double sided and I love them. I also have the Portrait one as well. I will be scanning these in the near future and uploading them on the movie pages as a PDF.
And lastly I picked up the DVD for Ivory Tower. This film was co-written with Céline Sciamma. This DVD is only available for direct order here. LINK .
Also, I will be creating a website for DVD's and Blu-ray's of Céline Sciamma. I'm not sure yet how far I will go collecting wise. But I expect it will be a fun and interesting journey. I'm just waiting for a few more Portrait discs and one Water Lilies disc to arrive. And after those are uploaded to this site.. I will be ready to copy this one.. and just keep the Portrait and Water Lilies Discs. Should be by the end of the year.
The site will follow the same organization as this one, but with a different design.
I don't know yet what I want to call the site. On this site, on the top of the home page will have prominent photo link. Also I will be posting images of Céline's discs on the same Instagram I am now.. dvds_of_adele . I may amend the name to be adele_celine. Not sure yet. Later when I get into Noémie's discs, it will be even more tricky with the Portrait overlap.. but that's not going to be for a while.
The issue is I do not want to dilute the emphasis of Adèle's content. But on the other hand Céline's content deserves it's own emphasis. But that means I will be maintaining two sites, and social's. As a compromise, I will do two websites, but on the same social media. I also have three other websites I maintain. The wonderful part, is all of this is a relaxing stress free hobby. Also it's a large singular collection, so unifying it in some ways also makes sense.
I still have about 65 discs to upload here.. and next year I start the process of listing out all of the details for about 150 dvd's, and 40 Blu-rays. So there's still a ton of work to be done on this site. I wanted to wait until this collection was mostly complete, so there would be momentum in detailing the releases.
