About me

Hi! My name's Gisselle I’m 26, an animal lover, and part of a proud military family. I got into pet boarding as a way to help my family financially while also pursuing something I genuinely love—caring for animals . Growing up with different animals helped develope an understanding that can only come with experience. 

What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with dogs and my commitment to providing exceptional care. I've cared for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities, including fostering and rescuing dogs from neglectful situations.

 Through hands-on experience and self-education in canine behavior and training, I've developed the skills to understand and meet each dog's unique needs. Whether caring for playful puppies, active adults, or senior dogs, I provide a safe, loving, and dependable environment that gives pet owners peace of mind. 

Safety & protocals

As an animal lover and pet owner, I understand the concerns that come with leaving your fur baby in the care of someone you may not know. My goal is not only to provide your pup with quality care, but to ensure they are treated with the same love, attention, and compassion I would give my own.

A few of the protocols I have in place when your pup boards with me include, but are not limited to: regular photo and video updates, testimonials and reviews from previous clients, and a recent background check completed through Rover that I successfully passed.

For your pet’s safety, I am always physically present when they are outside to help prevent any potential escapes or elopements. I also have cameras on the property to monitor the surroundings, and I keep the contact information and locations of nearby veterinarians and animal hospitals readily available in case of an emergency.

What a typical day here looks like

A typical day at Duval's Hound House begins with your pup’s preferred morning routine, ensuring they feel comfortable and right at home. Throughout the day, activities are tailored to each pup’s individual needs, energy level, and personality.

Some days may include an afternoon filled with playtime and a game of fetch, as I believe mental and physical stimulation are important. Other days may call for relaxing cuddles on the couch or even taste-testing homemade, dog-friendly treats.

Above all, I focus on providing a safe, loving, and enjoyable environment while using positive reinforcement and following each pup’s unique needs and routine.
