Online Learning

As EdFest was a live event, the online learning during the day consisted of helping teachers understand if certain online tools were appropriate for their classrooms through demonstrations and experiementing with the tools. Many of the participants discovered new tools that would integrate into their pedagogies without implementing them just to say they were using technology. Our goal was to help our colleagues do just that: use technology meaningfully to help students succeed. While much of the day was spent in sessions, quite a bit of online collaboration and assistance took place throughout the EdFest process. We used Google Forms often to gauge needs and evaluate the day, and we created a number of screencasts and curated YouTube playlists to provide for teachers the support they may need when working on their own toward technology goals. A sample of these online collaborations and learning experiences are linked below, and you can view them again in our presentation.
