The University of Denver's Time Attack Racing Team was brought to life in 2024 by current president, Remington Stagg. Many people claimed it would be impossible to even get the club off the ground, but, we continue to push forward and do the unexpected.
Our team is comprised of more than 60 members who share passions for innovation, learning, and motorsport. Our business teams give students experience in marketing, media, funding, and management. Their responsibilities span event planning to working with sponsors. Our engineering team is comprised of aerodynamics, chassis, suspension, data acquisition and powertrain. These teams are responsible for designing and testing respective components of the car while focusing on performance and safety.
Bringing these teams together allows us to reach the peak!
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is one of the most famous and treacherous races in the world of motorsports. This brutal test of man and machine gives Pikes Peak its nickname; “The Race to the Clouds”.
We wanted to do something different, something that should be impossiblefor a team of students to accomplish: Complete the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. At over100 years old, no university has ever completed the climb with a car. With Pikes Peak being in our backyard, it would only be fitting if we are the first.
