July 20-22: Youth Camp Leader High Adventure (Davidson River)
July 22-25: Camp at Eagles Nest for all young women
Daughters of God: A Divine Quest
I love the Young Women program and am excited to help plan camp again this year! When I went to camp as a young woman, I enjoyed the classes and also meeting other people in the stake. I studied biology in college, and am currently finishing prerequisite courses to begin a master's program in Nutrition and Dietetics at UNC this fall. It is challenging and fun. I enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I also enjoy volunteer work. The most personally transforming and fulfilling experience I have had in my life is being a mother. I cherish my gospel study time each morning and the way it shapes and strengthens my life. I find great joy in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I hope I can share that with you.
I love reading, baking cookies, running, and planning trips! Being outside fills me with happiness and gratitude for the beautiful earth God has created. I’m excited to get to know the women in our stake and strengthen our testimonies of the Savior. I’m stoked for camp!
In my YW days we cabin camped at Eagles Nest so I am excited to help everyone enjoy it there! I went to UNC for all my schooling and am now an Occupational Therapist, but while in school I worked as a dog trainer and personal fitness trainer. My favourite hobbies are making ice cream (Ben & Jerrys have the best home recipe), trying any sport you can imagine (I was a varsity rower in college), and reading (my goal is 100 books this year). I love being in the Durham YSA but no matter what I do there I always get a teaching-related calling - which has helped me become a better student of the gospel.
