The outpouring of support from our local community has been both inspiring and encouraging. The DDC could never connect so many dots without the participation of members and readers like you.
We consider these connections our “wins”!
Our “wishes” are things we would love to see happen for those living with
dementia in Durango and the Four Corners region. If you would like to be a part of making our wishes come true, please email us at DurangoDementiaCoalition@gmail.com.

Wishes
We are in need of volunteer speakers for community engagements.
We want to connect with 1000 people with dementia and/or caregivers in LaPlata County. To date we know of approximately 180.
Support of the newly formed county health department.
Durango and the Four Corners region need more medical providers for dementia care. We are continually advocating for this by collaborating with local leaders and officials.
Anyone with a background in social work is considered a valuable asset because they can communicate in great detail ways in which care can be improved to better suit the needs of those diagnosed. They can also act as an advocate by presenting feedback to the community partners we collaborate with.
