Language Arts: Students will learn to recognize and produce the beginning sounds of words.
We will practice hearing and saying the first sound in words to build early reading skills.
Children will explore beginning letter sounds through songs, games, and hands-on activities.
Students will develop phonemic awareness by identifying the beginning sounds in spoken and printed words.
Math: Chapter 4 Math Connects book. Using numbers to 10. Students will also be writing numbers 20-30 and 30-40 daily inshallah.
Social Skills: Feelings Match
Children match picture cards of facial expressions to emotion words. Afterwards, they act out each feeling.
Focus: emotional awareness, empathy, vocabulary.
Science: Animal Tracks in “Snow”
Use playdough or fake snow and small animal toys to make tracks, then match the tracks to animals.
Focus: observation, matching.
