Summer Social Skills: Visiting the Library 📚☀️
Visiting the library is a wonderful summer activity for preschoolers! It is also a great way to practice important social skills.
At the library, children can practice:
Using quiet voices
Listening to the librarian during story time
Taking turns
Walking safely inside the library
Being respectful of books and materials
Saying “please” and “thank you”
Waiting patiently
Sharing space with others
Choosing books independently
Reading together and visiting the library helps children build language, imagination, and friendship skills while having fun!

Summer Science Fun ☀️🔬
Summer is a wonderful time for preschoolers to explore and discover the world around them through science!
Fun summer science activities can include:
Observing bugs, birds, and nature outside
Watching plants and flowers grow
Playing with water and learning what sinks or floats
Exploring shadows in the sunshine
Looking at clouds and talking about the weather
Mixing colors with paint or water
Collecting rocks, leaves, or flowers from nature walks
Science helps children ask questions, explore, and learn through hands-on play and discovery.
