Join us Thursday, August 20th at 7pm for Virtual Bunk Night.
Hi! My name is Bridget and this is my 9th summer as a counselor at camp. I've always loved spotting and coaching tumble track, but this summer I'm excited to share my skills in the kitchen with you! I hope you enjoy getting creative with your food together this summer!
We miss cooking, laughing, singing, and dancing in the kitchen with you!

Yes! The food we put in our bodies is so important! Not only because different tastes and textures can bring us joy, but because food is what gives us energy to move our bodies, concentrate on our favorite activities, and stay healthy. You are what you eat!
Whether you're a competitive gymnast or a beginner level, our bodies need healthy food to keep us strong and protect us from injury. Without enough good healthy food we are more prone to broken bones, stress fractures, and simply not having enough energy to practice and perfect that new skill you're working on.
Always seek adult supervision when using tools like a knife, the stove top, oven, or blender. Even if you're old enough to cook on your own, let someone at home know what you're doing so that they can come help in case of an emergency.
When using a potentially dangerous kitchen tool, stay focused, take your time, and don't be scared to ask for help!
Wash your hands for 20 seconds with hot soapy water. I find that our best tool in the kitchen is our hands, so make sure they're clean!
Put your hair up, no one wants to find a loose hair in their food. Ew, gross!
Make sure your kitchen counter is clean, then collect all the tools and ingredients you'll need before you start a recipe.
