The Dungeon Crawl 94 $1,000 Challenge is a skill-based competition in Dungeon Crawl 94: What Was Taken.

Take on a new Hard-mode run, explore the world, complete the required objectives, find the Broken Sword, defeat the Demon King, and submit your completed Challenge entry.

THE CHALLENGE

To complete the Dungeon Crawl 94 $1,000 Challenge, players must begin a new game on Hard difficulty using a randomly generated seed.

During the same qualifying run, players must:

Find all 11 merchants

Find all 4 Quest Items

Find the Broken Sword

Defeat the Demon King and complete the game

The complete gameplay requirements, allowed and prohibited gameplay methods, evidence requirements, and submission procedures are contained in the Gameplay Rule Book linked below.

$1,000 GRAND PRIZE

The Dungeon Crawl 94 $1,000 Challenge has a $1,000 USD cash prize.

The first eligible entrant whose complete Challenge entry is received, subject to verification in accordance with the Official Rules, will be the potential winner.

Eligibility, entry requirements, winner determination, verification, prize payment, and all other legal terms are governed by the Official Rules.

CHALLENGE PERIOD

November 1 – November 30, 2026

The official Challenge Period begins:

November 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Central Time

and ends:

November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time

Players may practice before November 1, but a qualifying Challenge run must meet all requirements of the Official Rules and Gameplay Rule Book.

The Challenge is available to players using:

Apple / iOS

Google Play / Android

Access to Dungeon Crawl 94: What Was Taken is required to participate.

HOW TO ENTER

Complete the Challenge according to the Official Rules and Gameplay Rule Book.

After completing your qualifying run, upload the required video evidence to YouTube and email your Challenge entry to:

Your submission must include all information and evidence required by the Official Rules and Gameplay Rule Book.

Entries will be accepted beginning November 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Central Time.

Dungeon Crawl 94: What Was Taken Version 1.5.6 is required for a qualifying Challenge run.

You can verify which version of the game you are running by checking the version number displayed at the bottom of the game's Home/Title screen.

STEAM / WINDOWS

Version 1.5.6 is currently available.

Steam players should make sure their game has been updated before beginning a qualifying Challenge run.

APPLE / iOS

Version 1.5.6 is currently available.

Apple/iOS players should make sure their game has been updated to Version 1.5.6 before beginning a qualifying Challenge run.

GOOGLE PLAY / ANDROID

Version 1.5.6 has been submitted to Google Play and is currently awaiting approval.

The update is expected to become available before the Challenge begins on November 1, pending Google's approval.

Android players should not begin a qualifying Challenge run until Version 1.5.6 is available and installed.

IMPORTANT

Before beginning a qualifying Challenge run on any platform, launch the game and confirm that the version number displayed at the bottom of the Home/Title screen is:

VERSION 1.5.6

Do not begin a qualifying Challenge run using an earlier version of the game.
