(3-5 minutes)

1. Show the students a completed drawing of a cartoon face on a whiteboard.

2. Ask them to identify various parts of the face.

(10-15 minutes)

3. Pass out pencils and papers to the students. 

4. Using guidelines, demonstrate how to outline the basic features identified using simple shapes (oval for head, circles for eyes etc).

(5-10 minutes) 

5. Using this knowledge, ask the students to draw their own face independently. 

(2-5 minutes)

6. After everyone is done, bring them together to reflect on their drawings (what they enjoyed drawing the most, what they think could've went better etc).
