Our main character Bastion rules over a small tropical island in a large gothic castle with their merman boyfriend Makoa. Bastion is very worried because the vampire council is coming to visit to check on his progress in vampiric colonization of the island.

The problem is that Bastion doesn't drink blood and does not want to colonize the island at all. He must now try to convince the Vampiric Council that he is making progress, all with his mermaid boyfriend's help.

Biting Time is planned to be published through the cartoonist collaborative, zine #5 in late April of 2026, though its informal completion is planned for an earlier date.
